Ca Mau Province is stepping up preparations for the first Ca Mau Heritage Culture Day and Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2026.
Ca Mau Province will host its first Heritage Culture Day and Hot Air Balloon Festival from August 28 to September 1, 2026. Under the theme "Where cultural identities converge at the southernmost tip of the nation", the large-scale cultural and tourism event is expected to offer visitors a unique opportunity to experience both Viet Nam's rich cultural heritage and spectacular hot air balloon displays.
Le Hoai Trung, member of the Politburo and Minister of Foreign Affairs, together with a working delegation, visited Hon Khoai Island on the morning of July 6, as part of a working visit to Ca Mau Province.
The Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Ca Mau Province, solemnly held the inauguration ceremony for the upgraded Hon Da Bac Historical Site and handed over 500 social houses to disadvantaged people in Ca Mau Province on June 25.

In recent times, many farming households in the communes of Ninh Thanh Loi, Vinh Loi, Vinh My, Vinh Thanh, Vinh Loc, and others in Ca Mau Province have connected with each other and cooperated with local authorities and enterprises, applying science and technology to specialise in producing high-quality rice varieties, thereby meeting export standards for the US and other demanding markets.
Under the large canopy of mangrove forests in the southernmost part of the country, the crab has quietly absorbed the essence of the land and sea to become a renowned local delicacy.
The coastal area of Vinh Hau boasts the highest number of offshore wind power projects and the largest expanse of high-tech shrimp farming in Ca Mau Province. It is also accelerating the implementation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, with foreign investment exceeding 4 billion USD.

Three major projects have been launched in Ca Mau Province to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (September 2). They include the Ca Mau–Dat Mui Expressway, the upgrade of Ca Mau Airport, and a social housing project worth over 1 trillion VND.
