Ca Mau receives 500 social houses, completes upgrade of Hon Da Bac National Historical Site

The Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Ca Mau Province, solemnly held the inauguration ceremony for the upgraded Hon Da Bac Historical Site and handed over 500 social houses to disadvantaged people in Ca Mau Province on June 25.

This is also a meaningful series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Security Force (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2026) and the 42nd anniversary of the victory in the CM12 counter-intelligence plan (September 9, 1984 - September 9, 2026).

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Ho Hai, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, emphasised that the Hon Da Bac National Historical Site is not only a scenic spot but also closely associated with the glorious achievements of the People’s Security Force, demonstrating the courage, intelligence, and resourcefulness of the police force.

He affirmed that the inauguration of the historical site and the donation of 500 houses to the people is a milestone of profound historical and revolutionary significance, a vivid testament to the spirit of “When drinking water, remember its source” and the strength of national unity.

The Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai expressed profound gratitude to the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, and the sponsors for their valuable resources supporting Ca Mau in historical preservation and social welfare.

For his part, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung expressed his joy at visiting this resilient southernmost land of the Fatherland.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security affirmed that the social houses presented today are the result of close coordination and a deep, heartfelt bond between the Ministry of Public Security and the land and people of the southernmost part of the Fatherland.

On the occasion, on behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung presented numerous certificates of merit to collectives and individuals who have made significant contributions to supporting the construction of 500 social houses for the needy people, as well as contributing to the upgrading of the Hon Da Bac National Historical Relic Site.
