The remains of 27 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who gave their lives while serving on international missions in Cambodia were laid to rest on June 4, at the Dak Lak provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery after a memorial and burial service.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held in Xiengkhouang Province, northern Laos on July 27, for the Viet Nam-Laos heroic martyrs worship site, on the 78th anniversary of Viet Nam’s Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day.
On the evening of July 26, more than 1,300 members of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, armed forces, and citizens of the capital gathered at the Ha Noi City Martyrs’ Cemetery in Tay Tuu Ward, Ha Noi, solemnly offering incense in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for national independence and freedom.
