The Signing Ceremony and High-Level Conference of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, known as the Ha Noi Convention, held on October 25 and 26, left a strong impression on international delegates for its professionalism and solemn organisation, marking a successful debut that underscores Viet Nam’s growing capability to host major global events.

State President Luong Cuong hosted a banquet in Ha Noi on the evening of October 25 for delegates attending the signing ceremony and high-level conference of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, known as the Ha Noi Convention.

The UN Secretary-General expressed his strong expectation and confidence that Viet Nam will continue to uphold and promote its role, standing, and reputation to contribute to shaping a new structure of international relations, especially amid today’s rapidly changing and complex global political landscape.

The event will be attended by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, along with high-ranking leaders from countries and representatives from regional and international organisations, according the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Following their talks within the framework of the State visit made by President of Singapore Halimah Yacob to Vietnam, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Singaporean counterpart witnessed the signing ceremony for cooperation and investment agreements in many important areas on October 17.
