The accused are 47 year old Chong Kon Hoi, Ling Seng Koey (23) and Wong Kar Wei (30).
They will be held for four months while the investigation is underway.
While searching Hoi and Koey, the police found 15 fake international credit cards, nearly 30 gold necklaces, US$1,800 and other bank notes.
The initial investigation showed that these goods were purchased at shops in Da Nang for more than VND200 million (US$9,600).
The suspects were caught in Da Nang using fake credit cards to make payments on August 3. Chong Kon Hoi and Ling Seng Koey were arrested immediately after the fraud was discovered but Wong Kar Wei escaped the scene in a taxi.
Wei was later arrested in Binh Thuan province and transferred to Da Nang for the investigation.
