The ceremony saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member and Deputy Minister of Public Security.
Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Minister of Public Security Sen. Lieut. Gen. Dang Van Hieu highlighted efforts made by traffic police officials and soldiers to national construction and defence over the past 70 years.
All the force’s staff have displayed their firm political spirit and faithfulness to the Party, State, the country and people, he noted.
He also asked the force to consolidate politically and ideologically, to raise its training quality and fighting capacity and uphold its heroic tradition to complete all assigned tasks.
Also at the ceremony, Major General Tran Xuan Ha, Head of the Traffic Police Department, was honoured with the Feat-of-Arms Order, second-class.
