The event is among activities to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers’ Day (May 1).
Visiting and presenting gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thuc in Group 12, Area 7, Cao Xanh Ward, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc kindly inquired after her health and daily life, and expressed his deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions made by Vietnamese Heroic Mothers to the cause of national liberation and reunification
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Heroic Mother would continue to live a joyful and healthy life, serving as a spiritual support and a shining example for her descendants to follow, while helping educate younger generations to uphold patriotic traditions and the revolutionary spirit, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous, civilised and beautiful homeland and country.
Over the past years, Quang Ninh Province has always paid attention to social welfare and care for policy beneficiaries, workers and labourers in the locality, implementing support policies in a comprehensive manner to ensure the material and spiritual lives of local people, especially vulnerable groups and workers in difficult circumstances.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements Quang Ninh Province has recorded in socio-economic development, social welfare and improving people’s lives.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that caring for policy beneficiary families, people who rendered service to the nation, workers and labourers in difficult circumstances is a fine tradition, reflecting the moral principle of “When drinking water, remember its source” and the nation’s spirit of mutual support.
He expressed his hope that Quang Ninh Province would continue to pay greater attention to the effective implementation of social welfare policies and care for people’s lives, while encouraging workers and labourers to keep making efforts in production, thereby contributing, together with the locality and the country, to rapid and sustainable development.
On this occasion, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc and Quang Ninh Province presented 200 meaningful gifts to policy beneficiary families, workers and labourers in difficult circumstances across the province.
