Its growth rate ranks 13th among 63 provinces and centrally-governed cities throughout the country.
The figures were announced at a meeting of the provincial People’s Council, which took place from July 4 to 7.
At the meeting, councillors reviewed the province’s socio-economic performance in the first six months of the year and discussed measures to fulfil targets for the full year.
In the first half of 2023, the province’s industrial production value rose by 14.8% while export revenue reached 71 million USD. The province also attracted 1.8 million visitors with tourism revenue estimated at 2 trillion VND (84.5 million USD).
Tuyen Quang’s key projects were accelerated and administrative reforms were boldly implemented. Measures were also taken promptly to ensure social security for those in need.
Concluding the meeting, the Tuyen Quang People’s Council adopted 21 resolutions on socio-economic development and outlined orientations and tasks for the remainder of the year.
