A string of activities will be held throughout this year in Tuyen Quang Province, including the second International Hot-Air Balloon Festival, the festival entitled ‘Travelling through lands of heritages’, and Thanh Tuyen Festival.

At the opening ceremony, representatives from the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) presented a certificate honouring Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Tuyen Quang City as winner of the Asian Townscape Awards 2022 to the leaders of the city.

Covering an area of more than 8.5 ha, the construction of the square started in 2012 and was completed on the occasion of the 125th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 2015). It is a typical cultural and architectural work that shows the love of ethnic groups in Tuyen Quang for their beloved Uncle Ho.
