On the afternoon of August 11, the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), assigned Lao Dong Newspaper to hold a press conference for the 2025 Outstanding Enterprises for Workers Award.
Speaking at the press conference, VGCL Standing Vice President Thai Thu Xuong emphasised that the award is not only an acknowledgement, honour, and expression of gratitude from the VGCL to enterprises with good welfare policies for workers, but also an affirmation of those enterprises’ commitments to the sustainable development of the community and society.
At a time when the nation is jubilantly celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the programme will highlight the humanistic values of the trade union organisation in encouraging enterprises to fulfil their responsibilities towards workers, society, and the state, thereby contributing to achieving a growth rate of 8% or more in 2025.
Since its inception in 2014, the programme has honoured 578 enterprises, 20 of which have received certificates of merit from the prime minister.
In 2025, the programme will give priority to selecting private enterprises, foreign-invested enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, and joint-stock companies with less than 50% state capital — in line with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on the development and application of science and technology, innovation and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on making the private economy an important driving force of the national economy.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Viet Nam–Soviet Friendship Labour Cultural Palace in Ha Noi at 7:30 pm on August 15.
In 2025, the Award Council for the “Outstanding Enterprises for Workers” programme has agreed to honour 28 enterprises.
