Unique lion dance to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival in Hanoi suburbs

On the occasion of the annual Mid-Autumn Festival, the youth union of Cao Ha Village formed a lion dance group with 15 members.

Villager Van Tuyen said the costs for training activities and equipment for the lion dances were donated by the villagers.

Notably, before the lion dance performances, the group’s members sprayed water as practice for spraying gasoline to blow the fires.

Quang Huy, a member of the group, said this year’s performances were led by young people born in 1997.

Lion dance is the most awaited activity of the Mid-Autumn Festival because it contributes to enhancing friendship among the villagers and helps children learn more about additional culture.

The lion head is changed in terms of shapes and colours each year.
