Various activities to celebrate 78th anniversary of culture sector

A series of events will be held in late August and early September to mark the 78th anniversary of the culture sector and celebrate National Day, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

An art programme is scheduled to take place at the Hanoi Opera House on the evening of August 27 to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the culture sector (August 28, 1945-2023).

Themed “Fatherland’s Melodies”, the programme praises the love for the fatherland and highlights the role and achievements of the cultural sector over the past years.

A ceremony to honour exemplary people who have made considerable contribution to the culture sector will be held on August 28.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is expected to commend 78 exemplary people at the ceremony as well as discuss measures to boost Vietnamese culture.

In addition, a conference for officials working in the culture sector is scheduled to take place on the afternoon of August 28 to exchange knowledge on state management of culture and effectively promote cultural resources.
