Vice President visits revolutionary contributors in An Giang’s An Phu district

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited revolutionary contributors in the border district of An Phu in An Giang province on July 28, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the War Invalids and Fallen Soldiers’ Day.

The Vice President appreciated the meritorious service of revolutionary contributors while praising the efforts of local authorities in caring for revolutionary contributors.

She also expressed her delight at the positive changes in the socio-economic development of An Phu district, asking An Giang province to invest resources into key projects, particularly transport projects to promote the border economy of An Phu district and An Giang province in general.

Vice President Xuan noted that An Phu was a heroic district during the war, contributing to maintaining the border and defending the nation and that nowadays, An Phu should rise to become a developed district, worthy of its heroic tradition.

The district should continue paying attention to and improving the lives of local people and promoting the border economy in addition to consolidating and nurturing the relationships with Cambodia, Xuan added.

On the occasion, the Vice President presented 10 houses of compassion to An Phu district and 50 gifts to families of revolutionary contributors throughout the district.
