Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan pays tribute to late President Ton Duc Thang

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on August 16 paid floral and incense tributes to late President Ton Duc Thang at his memorial site in My Hoa Hung Commune, An Giang Province, ahead of the 138th anniversary of his birth (August 20, 1888–2026).

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and other delegates observed a minute’s silence and paid tribute to Ton Duc Thang, a steadfast revolutionary and exemplary leader of the Party and State.

The delegates reviewed major milestones in Ton Duc Thang’s revolutionary career, which he devoted entirely to the Fatherland and the people. He is remembered as a lifelong example of diligence, filial piety, loyalty, humility and integrity, as well as unwavering dedication to revolutionary and communist ideals.

The 138th anniversary of Ton Duc Thang’s birth is an occasion for the Party, people and armed forces to honour his contributions, express their gratitude and take pride in his legacy. It also serves as a reminder for Party members and officials to cultivate revolutionary ethics, improve their knowledge and practical capabilities, and place the interests of the Party, the revolution and the people above all else.

On the occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Tung presented gifts to 50 outstanding students from My Hoa Hung Commune and to the management unit of the Special National Relic Site of the Ton Duc Thang Memorial Site.
