TRAVEX is one of the most important activities within the framework of the 2026 ASEAN Tourism Forum. The event has attracted strong interest from partners, businesses, and international visitors.
Within the framework of TRAVEX, a wide range of vibrant tourism activities have been held, including exhibitions, product showcases at booths, buyer–seller meetings, press conferences by ASEAN national tourism authorities, and sideline seminars.
The Viet Nam booth focused on promoting key tourism destinations nationwide. In addition, it introduced the 2026 National Tourism Year – Gia Lai, helping to spread the image of a new destination rich in cultural identity and tourism potential in the Central Highlands region.
The booth featured participation by representatives from several localities, including Gia Lai, Da Nang, and Nghe An, along with Vietnamese tourism businesses.
The Vietnamese Tet display area was regarded as a highlight of Viet Nam’s presence at the 2026 TRAVEX. This special space left a strong impression of traditional culture and attracted the attention of a large number of visitors.
At the fair, the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism also organised a press conference to introduce Viet Nam tourism, providing information on policies and distinctive tourism products. The press conference drew the interest of tourists and many international media agencies from countries such as India and Egypt, as well as several European and Asian nations, thereby delivering information on Viet Nam tourism to key markets.
Regarding the Philippine market in particular, Viet Nam’s tourism sector continues to record positive growth. The number of visitors from the Philippines to Viet Nam in 2025 increased by 81% compared with 2024, demonstrating significant potential for bilateral tourism cooperation and promotion between Viet Nam and the Philippines.
Through participation in the 2026 TRAVEX, the image of Viet Nam as a tourism destination continues to be widely promoted, reaffirming the presence of the Viet Nam tourism brand at the most important tourism promotion event in Southeast Asia. This, in turn, helps to strengthen cooperation with businesses and attract more international visitors to Viet Nam.
