The Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) have agreed to continue enhancing exchanges of experience and foster practical, effective cooperation within international organisations and multilateral forums.
The consensus was reached during a Hanoi meeting on September 2 between Politburo member and standing member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and Vice President of the PSUV Jesús Faria, who led a PSUV and Venezuelan Government delegation to the ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam's August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).
Tu highly valued the presence of the delegation in the historic celebration, saying that their participation is a great source of encouragement, reflecting the close solidarity between the two Parties as well as the precious support of the Party, State and people of Venezuela for Viet Nam’s national defence and construction.
He spoke highly of the positive development of bilateral relations in recent years, suggesting that the two sides continue to step up delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels through Party, State, National Assembly and people-to-people channels. They should effectively implement the deputy foreign minister-level political consultation and the Intergovernmental Committee mechanisms; and carry out cooperation documents already signed between the two Parties, States and Governments.

He also called for creating more favourable conditions for strong products of both countries to access each other’s markets to raise two-way trade turnover, while promoting investment cooperation in energy, telecommunications, agriculture, and construction materials.
For his part, the Venezuelan official expressed his delight and honour to visit Viet Nam again on the occasion of this historic anniversary. He extended warm congratulations to the Party, State and people of Viet Nam on the 80th National Day and the great achievements the country has recorded, voicing admiration for the heroic tradition of the Vietnamese people in their struggle for national independence and reunification.
He also expressed deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh, the CPV and the heroic Vietnamese people, who have overcome all difficulties and challenges to build a strong and prosperous nation, serving as a shining example and source of inspiration for progressive revolutionary movements worldwide.
The PSUV Vice President thanked the Party, State and people of Viet Nam for their solidarity and valuable support to the Venezuelan people, affirming that Venezuela regards Viet Nam as an important partner and is determined to further strengthen bilateral ties to contribute effectively to each country's development.
