Vietnam and RoK promote economic and cultural exchanges

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Hanoi on July 23 for the Republic of Korea-Vietnam Association for Economic and Cultural Exchange (including representatives from 30 RoK associations) led by its Chairman Kim Kil-soo.

At the meeting, the State leader welcomed the association to visit and work in Vietnam and organise many important activities on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The President spoke highly of the association and its members for their interest in investing in many fields throughout Vietnam and suggested businesses use the most modern technologies and protect the environment.

For his part, Chairman Kim Kil-soo said that the delegation had held several specific activities in Ho Chi Minh City and continued to have events in Hanoi. Within the Vietnam-RoK Cooperation Forum, there will be business-matching events, and trade and investment facilitation conferences for businesses from the two countries.

He added that more and more leading RoK enterprises are interested in investing in Vietnam, of which they wish to invest in projects throughout the Red River Delta.

Representatives of several RoK associations presented at the meeting also wished that the two countries would promote cooperation in the fields of waste treatment, labour, employment, sports exchanges, etc.
