Taking place from April 17-23 with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, “Vietnam Week” provides an opportunity for Russia and Vietnam delegates to discuss practical opportunities and solutions to further strengthen scientific-technical, educational, and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

The event features the direct and online participation of large numbers of delegates, scientists, and business representatives from both Russia and Vietnam.

At the opening ceremony, Dmitry Protasovsky, Director of the Association Russian House for International Scientific Technical Cooperation, emphasised the practical significance of "Vietnam Week" - an event that is expected to be held annually to promote international cooperation between Russia-Vietnam relations.

He shared his hope that the seven-day event, with a series of meaningful activities, would bring many opportunities for the two sides to exchange and discuss their potential for substantive cooperation.

Chargé d'Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia Le DacQuan affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia highly appreciates the initiative to organise "Vietnam Week", believing that the event will contribute to promoting the relationship between Vietnam and Russia in many fields.

According to Le Dac Quan, "Vietnam Week" is even more meaningful in the context that Vietnam and Russia have just successfully held the 24th meeting of the countries’ Inter-Governmental Committee on Economic, Trade and Scientific-Technological Cooperation.
