The awards have been held since 2013 by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Bao Sang Joint Stock Company to encourage Vietnamese businesses to renovate their products and services to meet the increasing demand of customers.
It is also designed to provide customers with references to select best quality products, thus boosting the campaign ‘Vietnamese people prioritise Vietnamese goods’.
The winning businesses were rated by readers of Lao Dong va Xa Hoi (Labour and Society) newspaper, Gia Dinh va Tre Em (Family and Children) magazine and the programme’s official website at top100vn.vn, along with feedback from customers at major shopping centres in big cities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
The awards are divided into nine groups: food and drink; pharmacy and healthcare equipment; home appliances and furniture; information technology equipment; cosmetics and fashion; means of transport; banking, financial and insurance services; tourism, education, entertainment services; and distributions and retail services.
The event has drawn the enthusiastic participation of businesses as well as votes from numerous customers nationwide. It helps businesses test their competitiveness in a transparent and just way while affirming their quality and prestige with customers, who cast votes for their favourite brands.
Based on the surveys, the organising board invited experts to evaluate the nominated businesses and select the best ones.
