The concert, staged on November 7, also sought to introduce the culture and music of Russia to Vietnamese audiences. All proceeds will be donated to Thanh Tam social house in Xuy Xa Commune, My Duc District, in Hanoi, which is home to orphans and homeless children.
The event was part of the Kapusta project which was launched by students at Russian-language faculty at the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted to support poor students.
At the event, violinist Bui Cong Duy joined the choir to entertain the audience with a performance of the Schindler's List Theme (John Williams).
The concert also attracted the participation of pianists Nguyen Huy Phuong and Nguyen Thanh Giang, and accordionist Nguyen Manh Hung, who brought a selection of classical musical pieces to the stage.
