Within the First South Central Press Awards framework, the Organising Committee received 250 entries in four press categories. Through two preliminary and final rounds, the Organising Committee selected 22 entries, including two first prizes, four second prizes, six third prizes and ten consolation prizes.

According to the jury, this year's entries are of quite high quality in terms of content and form of expression, rich in topics and perspectives.

This is the first time that the Vietnam Journalists' Association has organised a press award in the South Central region to promptly recognise, encourage and reward journalists, reporters, editors, collaborators, and resident reporters in the South Central region who had high-quality press works published in 2023 about the South Central region.

At the ceremony, the Organising Committee continued to launch the 2nd South Central Press Awards 2025.

On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper presented 200 gifts to fishermen and 25 scholarships to fishermen's children in the programme "Lighting up the sea with fishermen".

The Lao Dong Newspaper awarded scholarships to support ethnic minority students and poor students in Khanh Hoa Province, while the Vietnam Traffic Safety Association awarded 300 helmets to students and journalists who won awards.
