The contest, co-organised by the Hanoi’s police force and Nguoi Ha Noi (Hanoians) Magazine under the Hanoi Union of Literature and Arts Associations, was among the activities in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the traditional day of the fire prevention, fighting and rescue police force (1961 -2021).
Speaking at the event, journalist Vuong Minh Hue, the Editor-in-chief of Hanoians Magazine, shared that after it was launched in June 2021 the contest received hundreds of entries in five genres of poetry, short stories, short plays, music, and photography by hundreds of entrants across the country.
The entries honoured contributions and bravery of firefighters who have worked to protect the peaceful life of the people.
At the awards ceremony, the organising board presented three first, eight second, 15 third and 20 consolation prizes to the most outstanding entries in the five categories. No first prize was given in the short story or poetry categories.
