Israel's Security Cabinet has approved a plan to take over Gaza City, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said in a statement on Friday. The Israel Defense Forces will prepare for the takeover while distributing humanitarian assistance to civilians outside the combat zones, according to the statement.

* Cambodia and Thailand reached a consensus on the details of the ceasefire and signed an agreement at the extraordinary meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC) held in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. Officials from Cambodia and Thailand attended the meeting, while delegates from China, Malaysia, and the United States participated as third-party observers.

* China welcomes the understanding reached between Cambodia and Thailand on the implementation arrangements, monitoring mechanism and follow-up matters of the ceasefire, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Thursday.
