Addressing the presentation ceremony, Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the Party Committee of Centrally-run Agencies, Nguyen Minh Quang acknowledged the significant contributions of former President Tran Duc Luong to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. He stated that the former President has always shown the virtues of a Party member and successfully accomplished the tasks assigned to him by the Party and the State.
He added that the former President together with the Politburo and Party Central Committee led the nation to many significant achievements that contributed to the nation's renewal, industrialisation and modernisation process.
Former President Tran Duc Luong expressed his pride in and his gratitude to the Party and affirmed that he will always uphold the revolutionary spirit and responsibility of a Party member to serve the Party and the people.
President Nguyen Minh Triet and Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan also attended the ceremony.
