With a persuasive 4–0 victory over Guam in Group E of the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, Viet Nam have officially secured a place in the final round, set to take place in Australia in March 2026.
In the match held on the evening of July 5 at Viet Tri Stadium in the northern province of Phu Tho, Viet Nam scored three goals in the first half, by Nguyen Thi Van and Bich Thuy.
In the 72nd minute, following a swift counterattack and a pinpoint cross from Tran Thi Duyen, Pham Hai Yen rose high to head in Viet Nam’s fourth goal.
The win places Viet Nam at the top of Group E with nine points after three matches. Under the guidance of head coach Mai Duc Chung, the team delivered a dominant performance throughout the qualifiers, scoring 17 goals and conceding none.
