The crew will shoot pictures of the cave, documenting the ecosystem inside the cave, the karst system, the tropical forests at Phong Nha-Ke Bang, as well as the flora and fauna at this UNESCO World Heritage Site, said a provincial tourism official.
The producer Thomas Webb has thanked the relevant agencies in Vietnam and Quang Binh in particular for supporting them with the filming.
Members of the film crew were amazed at the natural beauty of the caves, primitive forests, including the diverse and unique ecosystem of Phong Nha-Ke Bang.
Quang Binh Vice Chairman Ho An Phong said the province always welcomes and creates the best conditions for domestic and international film crews and media agencies to produce films about the nature and people of Quang Binh.
The BBC’s documentary is scheduled to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2022, with an expected viewership of 500 million worldwide.
