Binh Dinh launches summer tourism programme 2024

A summer tourism programme of Binh Dinh Province themed “Quy Nhon – Sea paradise – Shine and development” was launched at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon City, on June 8.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Lam Hai Giang said that the province regained growth momentum in 2023, with the reception of more than 5 million visitors, up 21.4%, and tourism revenue of 16.4 trillion VND, up 25% over the previous year. In the first six months of 2024, the province is estimated to have welcomed over 5.6 million visitors, a dramatic surge of 106.1%, with tourism revenue of 15 trillion VND, a sharp rise of 96.9%.

The Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh tourism brand has gradually been affirmed on the Vietnam’s tourism map, with Quy Nhon also being one of the three Vietnamese tourist cities to have received the “ASEAN Clean Tourism City 2024” award for the second time.

A series of summer tourism events will be held during this summer from June to August, including the TeqBall World Series with the participation of 52 countries, VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon with the participation of over 10,000 athletes, a festival on the quintessence of the sea, a programme titled “Tourism, cinema and sports - Proud of Vietnamese identity”, and so on.

The summer tourism programme in Binh Dinh Province is part of activities in response to the National Tourism Year 2024, contributing to boosting Vietnam tourism, especially Binh Dinh tourism.
