The conference was held online connecting 56 communes and wards across the province.
In the first months of the year, the socio-economic situation of Cao Bang Province continued to improve. The total import and export turnover of goods through Cao Bang Province reached nearly 842 million USD, an increase of more than 66% over the same period last year.
Budget revenue in the province reached 2,394 billion VND, 115% of the Provincial People's Council’s assigned target. Disbursement of public investment capital reached 2,258 billion VND, accounting for nearly 41% of the plan. There were 74 newly established enterprises in the locality, with total registered charter capital of 293 billion VND. Economic growth of the province in the first six months of the year reached 6.56%.
Thanks to investment in building infrastructure and standardising teachers, 187 out of 503 schools in the province met national standards. In 2025, the locality allocated 508 billion VND to repair facilities and nearly 147 billion VND to purchase educational equipment for schools.
The tourism sector continued to achieve good growth. The province welcomed 1.43 million visitors, reaching 57% of the plan. Tourism revenue is estimated at 1,453 billion VND, while the room occupancy rate at accommodation establishments reached 58%.
Localities in the province have disbursed 229 billion VND to support the elimination of 6,644 temporary and dilapidated houses. The remaining 58 temporary and dilapidated houses will be supported for repair and upgradation in the coming time.
National defence and security have been ensured, the clean and strong party building work has been paid due attention; Party cells have admitted 628 new Party members. The communal authorities have maintained the smooth and effective operation of the two-level local governance model in 56 communes and wards of the province.
At the conference, delegates discussed solutions to achieve an economic growth rate of 8% in 2025. Specifically, it is necessary to continue to maintain the growth momentum of the industrial and construction sectors; disbursement of public investment capital and increasing economic value per hectare of production land.
Concluding the conference, Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, highly appraised all levels, sectors, and localities for their efforts to overcome difficulties in operating smoothly and effectively the 2-level local governance model.
He requested that all levels and sectors pay attention and promptly remove difficulties in facilities, human resources, and equipment serving digital transformation in communes and wards.
Secretary Quan Minh Cuong emphasised that all levels, sectors, and localities need to pay attention to remove difficulties and obstacles, moving towards a service-oriented administration, for the satisfaction of people and businesses. As all levels, sectors, and localities are taking proactive action, paying attention to solving difficulties, and creating favourable conditions for businesses, they will find investment and business opportunities in Cao Bang.
In the agricultural sector, Cuong suggested that functional sectors and localities pay attention to supporting enterprises, cooperatives and people to invest in developing high-tech agriculture effectively, thereby, increasing the economic value obtained per hectare of production land.
In the last months of the year, specialised sectors will need to overcome the situation of scarcity of sand and stone for construction works that is currently affecting the construction and disbursement progress of public investment capital.
In addition, education and healthcare should be paid attention to invest and develop to gradually improve material and spiritual lives of the people.
