Attendees included General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission’s Standing Board, and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Viet Nam People’s Army, and General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission’s Standing Board, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defence.
The event convened leaders of the Ministry of National Defence, senior officers of the General Staff and the General Department of Political Affairs, members of the Central Military Commission, and leaders and commanders of agencies and units.
At the conference, the Central Military Commission reviewed and approved a report on emulation and commendation work, and the Determined to Win Emulation Movement during the first half of the year, as well as directions and tasks for the second half of 2026. The Commission also reviewed and approved reports on military personnel management, defence land utilisation, financial affairs, and mass mobilisation work in accordance with the Central Military Commission’s leadership regulations. Additionally, the Commission endorsed a report on the settlement of a number of issues handled by the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission from January to June 2026.
Following the reports and discussion, General Phan Van Giang emphasised that, to implement the directives of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, as well as the guidance provided by Party and State leaders during the morning session, the entire military must continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly execute the Party’s directives and resolutions, along with the State’s policies and laws.
He urged upholding principles, adhering to practical realities, strengthening unity and consensus, and resolutely carrying out key breakthrough tasks in order to successfully and exceptionally fulfil all assigned missions.
