In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates paid their respects to President Ho Chi Minh, the founder, leader, and mentor of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, for his immense contributions.

In his address at the ceremony, reflecting on the glorious 96-year journey of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, Ambassador Le Quang Long emphasised that under the wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese revolution had advanced from one victory to another, from the watershed August Revolution to the cause of Doi Moi (Renewal), elevating the nation’s stature and prospects to new heights. The anniversary of the Party’s founding, he noted, provides an occasion for every Party member to take pride in the Party’s proud traditionsand to further strengthen their pioneering spirit and exemplary role in the cause of building and safeguarding the socialist Fatherland.

Notably, Ambassador Le Quang Long briefed the delegates on the resounding success of the recently held 14th National Party Congress in Ha Noi. He affirmed that the congress marked an important milestone, officially ushering in a “new era — an era of the nation’s rise.”

Accordingly, the congress set out a strategic vision with the highest political determination: to streamline and consolidate the organisational apparatus, accelerate digital transformation, and develop new productive forces, striving to make Viet Nam a developed, high-income country by 2045.

The country’s impressive recent socio-economic achievements, with the size of the economy surpassing 510 billion USD, provide a solid foundation for the entire Party, armed forces, and people to realise the goals set forth by the 14th National Party Congress.
