Concert celebrates Viet Nam-China friendship

A concert themed “Viet Nam-China: Friendly Neighbours” took place at Ho Guom Theatre in Ha Noi on February 7 to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam-China diplomatic relations, and welcomed the Lunar New Year of both countries.

The concert featured leading Chinese artists, representing an outstanding generation of performers from the China National Opera and Dance Drama Theatre, who delivered emotionally rich performances of a high artistic standard.

The programme also saw the participation of notable Vietnamese artists, who have made a strong impression on Chinese and international audiences. Their performances offered audiences a deeply moving musical space in which art became a bridge connecting hearts and minds.

The concert took audiences on a journey from traditional Chinese music to melodies celebrating Viet Nam-China friendship, alongside excerpts from world-renowned classical operas.

The selected works harmoniously blended the quintessence of Chinese and Vietnamese music with classical masterpieces from around the world, creating a vibrant space for cultural exchange.

The programme also featured friendship-themed melodies, expressing enduring bonds of amity through a fusion of Eastern flavours and the refined beauty of Western classical music.

At the concert, artists from both countries joined together to perform the song “Friendship Forever”, conveying a message of peace, friendship and a future of sustainable cooperation between Viet Nam and China.
