NDO – A piano solo concert entitled “The Memorial” is scheduled to take place at the French Cultural Institute in Trang Tien Street, Hanoi, on December 28 to celebrate the 250th birthday anniversary of great composer Beethoven.

The programme will be held by Maestoso, a group of talented artists who are living and working abroad.

The concert will feature the participation of Nguyen Duc Anh – the first Vietnamese pianist to be awarded the Blüthner Artist title.

He will perform two classical piano sonatas, Op. 111 and Op. 57, representing the last two composing periods of Beethoven.

On the occasion, pianist Nguyen Duc Anh will launch his first CD, titled “The Memorial”, marking a new milestone in his professional music career.

Nguyen Duc Anh has received various prizes at international piano contests as well as the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit. In 2015, he received the “Deutschland Stipendium” scholarship by the German State.

The artists of Maestoso have always aspired to contribute their knowledge to the development of Vietnamese music in general and of classical music in the country in particular.
