The information was released at a press conference on the programme held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee in Hanoi on April 15.
Accordingly, audiences will have the chance to enjoy special Jazz music "parties" with a variety of genres, including Classic, Bossa Nova, Jazz Funk, and World Music.
Musician Hoang Anh Minh, Music Director of the programme, said the organising committee has been trying to invite many famous Jazz artists and bands from the US, Singapore and the Republic of Korea to the programme.
The event expects to attract more than 100 Vietnamese and international artists and bands to the 2024 International Jazz Programme.
The opening performance, themed “The Spotlight of Jazz”, on April 27, the show “The Latin Night” on April 29, and the closing night, themed “Jazz Flows”, will be held at April 2 Square on Tran Phu Street.
Meanwhile, Thanh Nien (Youth) Football Stadium in Vinh Nguyen Ward will be the venue for the concert “Living The Legend” on April 28 and the show “The Collection” on April 30.
At the press conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong stressed that the programme aims to introduce audiences and visitors to the beautiful Jazz melodies of Vietnam, as well as create an art playground for both domestic and international Jazz artists to exchange experiences.
According to the Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Culture and Sports Nguyen Van Nhuan, the International Jazz Programme will become an international-scale music event held annually in Nha Trang City and a highlight attracting domestic and international tourists to the beautiful coastal city.
