The 2024 Hanoi Tourism Festival is an opportunity to promote exchange activities, honour heritages and historical and cultural relic sites, and develop tourism products, towards attracting domestic and international tourists to the capital city of Hanoi and the associated localities.
Following many successful editions, this years’ festival will focus on exploiting the unique and special values of relic sites, craft villages and culinary culture of Hanoi and other localities.
Visitors to the event will be introduced to attractive tours launched by leading tourism businesses and airlines. The festival is also an opportunity to strengthen the linkages among tourism, culture and people, thereby increasing the demand for travel and experiences and encouraging tourism development.

At the press conference, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) Bui Duy Quang said this year’s festival features many new and impressive activities to promote the attractive cultural, historical and tourism destinations in Hanoi such as Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), Hanoi’s Old Quarter, Ba Vi, Soc Son, Duong Lam tourism site in Son Tay District, among others.
The festival will attract 150 booths and many uniquely designed spaces. The travel businesses will offer many gifts and vouchers at promotional prices; and display tourism and hotel business activities. In addition, the airlines will introduce their operations; the experience and food areas will also be arranged.
A wide variety of contemporary and traditional art performances will also be organised to serve visitors to the festival.
Taking place within the framework of the festival, a conference themed “Hanoi - Cultural and Historical Tourism Destination” on April 25 will discuss the current status, potentials, opportunities and solutions to develop unique and specific tourism products for Hanoi.
The festival is expected to attract about 50,000 visitors.
