Science Film Festival highlights food revolution

The Science Film Festival 2018, highlighting the theme “Food Revolution”, will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from October 22 –December 23, 2018.

This year’s programme, reflecting the importance of food consumption and its effects on the environment, consists of 12 short films, alongside numerous side programmes with experiments for teachers and students.

The opening ceremony will take place on October 24th, 2018, at 8.30 am in Thuc Nghiem secondary school, featuring a lot of activities for children and teenagers.

In addition a special programme for students and teachers will be the science film activity days at the Goethe-Institute on November 11 and November 18.

The science film festival is an international programme. It has been organised by the Goethe-Institute and the German Cultural Centre since 2005. It was first introduced to Vietnam in 2010.

The festival is an international activity and is held in 24 countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. This year’s programme is comprised of 12 films from four countries: Indonesia, Germany, USA and England. They were selected from 278 film submissions from international filmmakers, studios and television programmes.
