Austrian pianist to perform in Vietnam

Renowned Austrian pianist Robert Lehrbaumer will perform at the Vietnam National Academy of Music (ANAM) in Hanoi on November 13 and at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music on November 15.

The concert, named ‘Music from Vienna and about Vienna’, was organised by the Austrian Embassy in Hanoi in coordination with the Performing Arts Organisation Centre under the Department of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Academy of Music and the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, on the occasion of 100 Years of the Republic of Austria.

Born in Vienna, Robert Lehrbaumer started his career at the age of nine when he made an appearance as a pianist in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

Since then, concert tours have brought him to almost every European country and capital, as well as to North, Central and South America, to the Near East, South East Asia, the Republic of Korea, and Japan.

In addition, Robert Lehrbaumer has made recordings for radio and TV stations, LP and CD and has also starred in films and videos. He teaches international master courses in Austria and abroad and holds master classes at the University of Music in Vienna and at universities in the US, Mexico and Asia.
