The exhibition features over 150 unique documents and artefacts, including artworks, traditional costumes, ethnic musical instruments, and everyday items. These hold distinctive stories that convey profound messages of solidarity, creativity, and the resilient spirit of self-reliance among the people of Dak Lak’s ethnic communities.
In his opening remarks, Dinh Mot, Director of Dak Lak Museum, said that the exhibition is not only about admiring works of art, but also an opportunity for us to discover and honour the profound cultural values of the Dak Lak land. This is a region not only rooted in long-standing cultural traditions but also a land that fosters powerful aspirations for progress, leaving a remarkable imprint in the broader artistic and literary landscape of the nation.
Over the past 50 years, the literature and arts scene of Dak Lak Province has continuously evolved, affirming its place in the national cultural heritage. From literary works, music, poetry, folk art products and spiritual-cultural activities, all vividly narrate the story of a dynamic, creative, and vibrant Dak Lak.
This exhibition is a moment for us to take pride in reflecting on the province’s cultural and artistic journey over the past half-century. Each piece, each artefact, is a product of creativity and a testament to the resilient spirit of Dak Lak’s people in overcoming hardships.
The event offers a journey of exploration, reflecting both the unceasing development of Dak Lak’s arts and culture and the rich diversity of the 49 ethnic groups residing on this basalt land.
Visitors to the exhibition, both locals and tourists, are not only invited to admire the beauty and significance of these works but also to participate in the preservation of these cultural values, ensuring they endure through time and continue to inspire future generations.
The exhibition will run until May 18.
