The exhibition introduces 80 paintings to the public, composed from 1945 to 1954 by celebrated Vietnamese painters, who joined the army during wartime.
The pencil sketches and water-coloured paintings on display, vividly featured the happenings of the war while highlighting patriotism, bravery and the bond between the people and the army.
The exhibition aims to pay gratitude to artists and painters who used their brushes and palettes as “weapons”, to contribute to protecting their Fatherland.
The event, which is among activities marking the 80th anniversary of the Party’s outline on culture, will last until March 5, at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
