Entitled ‘France - Vietnam Spring’, the mural measures 3.5 metres in height and 40 metres in length. The work was carried out in June by Thuy and her colleagues at the New Hanoi Arts Group, including Tran Dinh, Huy Quan, Cao Quyen and Dinh Huy.

The fashion show featured more than 15 sets of silk Ao Dai, with popular flowers of Vietnam and France depicted on their flaps by the five painters, such as lotus, rose, peach blossom, daisy, and lily.

Participating in the catwalk at the event were officers at the Choisy-le-Roi Town Hall, students, and the five painters.

Didier Guillaume, the mayor of Choisy-le-Roi, said the he was impressed by the mural painting and the fashion show, both of which were staged by Thuy and her colleagues.

A range of cultural and educational activities will be held throughout the year in Choisy-le-Roi to mark the France – Vietnam Friendship Year 2019, he said, aiming to introduce Vietnam’s culture to French people and visitors.
