Following footsteps of predecessors, nurturing young generation’s aspiration to master technology

During the glorious 95-year historical journey under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, generations of Vietnamese have sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The journey continues in peace, solidarity, and development, with a compassionate and modern Viet Nam welcoming friends from around the world on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day.

Technology “awakening” history in the hearts of young people

In the past, history was mainly conveyed through books and teachers’ lessons, at the present, with the support of modern technology, especially virtual reality, the heroic pages of history have been revived in a visual, lively, and emotional way. At the exhibition “80 Years of National Achievements” — a special activity to celebrate National Day — the digitalised historical model “95 Years of the Party Flag Lighting the Way” implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper made a strong impression on a large number of pupils and students, especially young people with a love for both history and technology.

“Previously, I only studied history through books and teachers’ lectures. Now I have another way to explore history through technology, especially the digital interactive model of Nhan Dan Newspaper. I find it very interesting and easy to access. I understand more about history and further feel love for this subject,” said Nguyen Thanh Ha, a pupil from Song Cong High School (Thai Nguyen Province).

No longer dry and rigid, history is gradually becoming a vivid part of young generation’s awareness. Thanks to modern and emotional presentation forms, young people not only acquire knowledge but also understand the values of sacrifice and loss that their predecessors experienced.

Young generation’s aspiration to rise high in digital era

From the legendary Truong Son trails, the nation’s strong transformation after 80 years of independence is clearly reflected in modern transport projects, inter-regional expressways, and urban railways, or key projects such as the North–South high-speed railway, which is gradually being implemented. Today, the aspiration to expand and conquer the sky is being continued by the young generation with their knowledge, intellect, and passion in the digital era.

At the exhibition, former Truong Son soldiers could not hide their emotions as they looked back on the nation’s journey from war to peace, from hardship to remarkable development.

“In the past, we drove cars along the fierce Truong Son trails with old cars and tough conditions. At present, the nation has expressways, metro trains, and modern technology, I feel deeply moved,” Bui Ngoc Dau, a former driver of Regiment 559, Truong Son Corps, shared with his pride.

Such emotions are like a bridge connecting two generations: one that sacrificed their youth for independence, and another that is studying and creating towards mastering the future.

In the exhibition space, regions showcasing spearhead industries such as aviation and high technology attracted great interest from young people. The images of modern aircraft, satellite models, and digital infrastructure projects not only reflect achievements but are also symbols of the aspiration to reach higher and further.

“I study Aeronautical Engineering, so when I saw the exhibition area, I felt very proud. Our Viet Nam is making great strides. I hope in the future I can contribute in my own small way to the development of Viet Nam’s aviation industry,” said Tran Le Trung Anh, a student from Ha Noi University of Science and Technology.

That aspiration for conquering the sky is not only a career dream but also a symbol of the broad vision of a young generation inspired by history and empowered by knowledge and technology to conquer new heights.

Returning to the exhibition with overwhelming emotion, Bui Ngoc Dau, former driver of Regiment 559 of the Truong Son Corps, could not hide his pride at witnessing the achievements that today’s generation is striving to build.

“In the past, when we drove along Truong Son, technology was still very simple. Now, young people can study in much better conditions, with technology and youthful energy. I hope they will strive to protect the country and develop it even further,” Dau expressed his wish for the young generation.

The continuity between generations, from the Truong Son soldiers in the past to today’s engineers and students, is evidence of the unceasing flow of patriotic tradition, intellect, and courage of Viet Nam.

Today’s peace is not only a value our predecessors left but also a driving force for young people to rise, master science and technology, and be ready to contribute to nation-building in the new development period.

“Peace is beautiful! Because in every heart there is always the image of the Fatherland,” a young officer said with emotion while visiting the “95 Years of the Party Flag Lighting the Way” exhibition area by Nhan Dan Newspaper.

It is this peace that is the foundation for today’s youth to study, innovate, master science and technology, integrate internationally, and taking Viet Nam firmly advance in the digital era.

The celebration of the 80th National Day and the “95 Years of the Party Flag Lighting the Way” exhibition are a sacred reminder of “Pride in the past, responsibility for the present, aspiration for the future.”

Under the glorious Party flag, the youth’s aspirations are illuminating new journeys, where each child of Viet Nam can continue writing the great dream of the nation with their own hands, intellect, and hearts.
