During the glorious 95-year historical journey under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, generations of Vietnamese have sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The journey continues in peace, solidarity, and development, with a compassionate and modern Viet Nam welcoming friends from around the world on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day.
The exhibition 80 Years of the Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness, held at the National Exposition Centre (Dong Anh, Ha Noi), has attracted strong public interest and created a powerful ripple effect across society.
Visitors and locals were deeply impressed by the portraits of the 13 General Secretaries of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, displayed across different historical periods at the ongoing exhibition entitled “95 Years of the Party’s Flag Lighting the Way” at the Viet Nam Exposition Centre in Ha Noi.
The digital exhibition “95 Years of the Party Flag Lighting the Way” recreates the 95-year history of the Communist Party of Viet Nam through many creative, immersive spaces. With a variety of formats applying modern technology, the exhibition enables viewers to feel as if they are experiencing it in real life.
In the first six days since its opening on August 28, the Viet Nam Exhibition and Fair Centre (VEFAC) in Dong Anh, Ha Noi, has welcomed nearly 4 million visitors - an unprecedented record for any exhibition in Viet Nam.
The Ho Chi Minh Museum has announced that a special display featuring President Ho Chi Minh's life and career will be held as part of the Exhibition of National Achievements marking the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam’s National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2025).
An exhibition of national achievements celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025), themed “80-Year Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness,” kicked off at the Viet Nam Exposition Centre in Dong Anh commune of Ha Noi on August 28.
For the first time in Viet Nam, a specialised exhibition on the Party has been fully digitised, integrating both physical and virtual spaces. The exhibition is not only a place to display precious artefacts, images and documents, but also a vivid testament to the spirit of innovation and creativity, bringing history closer to the people.
The exhibition will take place from August 28 to September 5 at the Viet Nam Exposition Centre in Ha Noi's Dong Anh commune under the theme “80 years of agricultural and environmental development for national prosperity and sustainable future”.
To mark the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, the Centre for Cultural and Scientific Activities under Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), in collaboration with the “Toi ve” (I Paint) Club, is hosting the fine arts exhibition at Thai Hoc House, part of the special national relic Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.
The Thai Nguyen Provincial Museum, in coordination with the Ton Duc Thang Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, organised a thematic exhibition themed “Uncle Ton – The day of return” and “Thai Nguyen – 80 years of construction and development” at the Tan Cuong Tea Cultural Space in Tan Cuong Commune, Thai Nguyen Province on August 15.
An exhibition named “The Flow” was organised by former lecturers and students of the Department of Art Education at the Viet Nam University of Fine Arts on August 4 in Ha Noi to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the university’s founding (1925–2025).
To implement the Plan on organising an exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), the Arts Council of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has selected 250 typical fine arts and photography works to introduce at the exhibition in Ha Noi.

On July 10, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Telegram No. 107/CD-TTg, requiring ministries, sectors, localities, relevant agencies, and functional units to urgently implement the organisation of a national achievements exhibition under the theme “80 Years of Journey for Independence - Freedom - Happiness” to mark the 80th anniversary of National Day.
An exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary career in China has been jointly held by the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History of China and the Ho Chi Minh Museum of Viet Nam as part of activities to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations and the Year of Humanistic Exchange 2025 between the two nations.
