The series opens with the exhibition “Golden Imprints — Pieces of Vietnamese culture in the 10th century” at Chi Lang Park.
The exhibition introduces residents and visitors to a visual cultural experience space featuring images, documents, and artistic reconstructions of heritage from the Dinh dynasty.
Through an outdoor exhibition model in the urban centre, the event helps to bring historical values out of archival spaces and closer to the general public in a vivid and accessible way.
The focus of the series is the thematic discussion “Developing cultural industries and cinema in association with tourism and heritage preservation — Practice from the film ‘The Guardian Warriors: Mystery of King Dinh's Tomb’ and development opportunities for Ho Chi Minh City as a UNESCO-recognised Creative City of Film”, which will take place on the morning of September 9 at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House.
The discussion is divided into two in-depth sessions, aiming to address the question of connecting heritage with cinema from both artistic perspectives and sustainable development policy orientations.
Alongside the discussion programme, the event will feature an activity titled “Direct exchange between the film crew and pupils and students”.
The programme aims to help the younger generation access excerpts from documentary films on national cultural heritage and engage directly in dialogue with researchers, producers, and artists. The activity contributes to connecting historical knowledge from lecture halls with the practice of artistic creation, thereby inspiring national pride and providing career orientation for young creative talent.
