The event attracted nearly 200 participants, including ambassadors, high commissioners, members of the diplomatic corps, officials from the host government, representatives of Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, international friends, and a large number of Vietnamese people who are living, studying, and working in Canberra.

At the event, visitors enjoyed a special photo exhibition showcasing Viet Nam's country and people. Displayed beneath rows of vibrant red flags with yellow stars in the lobby of the cinema, the exhibition vividly presented the country's magnificent natural landscapes, cultural heritage, unique customs and traditions, and centuries-old traditional craft villages.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Australia also organised a screening of the film “Hong Ha Nu Si”. The film focuses on the eventful life and exceptional talent of Poet Doan Thi Diem, one of the most celebrated female literary figures of medieval Vietnamese literature.

The event was a meaningful cultural diplomacy activity, helping international friends gain a deeper understanding of Viet Nam's rich cultural heritage and strong traditions of learning and patriotism. Its messages of compassion and the aspiration for peace were conveyed in a subtle manner that transcended language and geographical boundaries.

The film screening concluded with a warm reception from the audience, who responded with enthusiastic applause. The event left a lasting impression of the talent, resilience, courage, and inner beauty of Vietnamese women, inspired a sense of national pride among the Vietnamese community, and helped international and Australian friends gain a better understanding of Viet Nam's history, country, culture, and people.
