Cherishing words of love through music

Music can create moments of stillness for people to listen to one another and share things that are difficult to put into words. With this approach, singer and choir conductor Ha Ny has staged the minishow “Cherishing Words of Love”, featuring compositions centred on family affection, connection and positive values in life.

Recently in Ha Noi, Ha Ny, together with her younger sister, piano master’s graduate and musician Truc Vy, and other artists, staged the minishow “Cherishing Words of Love”. The programme introduced songs from the two albums “A Thousand Loves for My Child” and “Cherishing”, composed by Truc Vy and Ha Ny.

The songs in the programme were arranged with a restrained performance style, focusing on vocals, piano and lyrical content. Family affection, care between people and gratitude were themes explored throughout.

After a period of performing in Pop, Rock and Pop Dance styles, Ha Ny has chosen a gentler form of expression, bringing music closer to daily life. She uses the concept of “Nurturing Music” to describe this direction, with the hope that music can create moments of relaxation and connection.

Ha Ny began studying and performing music at an early age, before studying vocal music at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. In 2008, she took part in Vietnam Idol and reached the Top 7 among female contestants. In the following period, the singer pursued Pop, Rock and Pop Dance. After 10 years of studying, living and working as an artist in Ho Chi Minh City, she moved to Ha Noi and continued her singing career.

Ha Ny explains the change in her musical choices as stemming from shifts in her life and professional journey. While her early stage was marked more by energy and stage personality, her recent works tend to reduce performance elements in order to focus on emotion and the stories within the songs. The two sisters compose, develop ideas and perform together.

The team said the sound system and musical instruments were tuned to 432Hz, a choice made with the aim of creating a harmonious and pleasant sound experience. This is a specific technical and organisational choice for the programme.

Notably, Ha Ny’s new music project is also linked to a number of activities for the elderly, people with disabilities and other audience groups. Through this, the singer aims to take music beyond the scope of a performance product and turn it into a means of communication and sharing in daily life.

After the programme in Ha Noi, the team plans to hold another music night in Ho Chi Minh City on December 12. The programme is expected to be an occasion for Ha Ny to meet and express gratitude to the teachers, friends and colleagues who accompanied her during her studies and artistic activities in the city, while continuing to introduce compositions from the two albums “A Thousand Loves for My Child” and “Cherishing”.
