The concert marks the beginning of cooperation between the association and the Hai Phong municipal People’s Committee, as the city moves to implement its project to become a “City of Music” during 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045.
The initiative aims to make culture a new driver of growth by connecting music with education, tourism, the creative economy and the promotion of Hai Phong’s image. Its long-term goal is to build a professional music ecosystem and help the city gradually meet the criteria of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of music.
The Viet Nam Classical Music Association will work with Hai Phong on a range of long-term activities, including professional consultancy, music education, and the discovery and support of young talent.
“Realms of Sound” is the first programme under the cooperation roadmap and is expected to lay the foundations for a sustainable model linking performing arts with education, training, talent development, social resource mobilisation and the cultural industries.
The concert will feature pianists Do Hien An, Ngo Phuong Vi and Nguyen Viet Trung, as well as oboist Hoang Manh Lam and clarinettist Tran Khanh Quang. All five musicians have received professional training and performed at major venues in Viet Nam and abroad.
