Gifts from mainland sent to Truong Sa Island

A delegation of 222 delegates, including Vietnamese and overseas Vietnamese from 22 countries, visited and presented gifts to soldiers and people on Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago in late April.

During the trip, the delegation learned about the working and living situation of soldiers, presented gifts to local people, and attended a ceremony to pray for martyrs who laid down their lives protecting the national sea and islands.

The delegation acknowledged the achievements of officers and soldiers on islands and platforms and encouraged them to overcome difficulties, to continue to protect the national sovereignty over sea and islands.

Among gifts, TV.PHARM Pharmaceutical JSC presented medicine and medical supplies worth nearly 200 million VND, to soldiers and people on Truong Sa Island and the DK1 platform, in response to the programme entitled “Truong Sa medicine boxes”, launched in 2018.

Soldiers and people on Sinh Ton Dong Island, Da Tay A Island, and Truong Sa 571 ship, were very happy to receive medicine and medical equipment from the delegation.

The April trip to Truong Sa is among the activities to implement the project of presenting 6,000 medical boxes to fishermen in 28 coastal provinces and cities, launched by TV.PHARM and partners.
