The event, the seventh of its kind, is jointly held by the provincial Department of Culture and Sports, Ha Long City People's Committee, the Vietnam Athletics Federation, and Duc Huong Anh Co., Ltd (DHA Vietnam).
The race includes four distances of 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42.195 km, with a record number of nearly 1,200 foreigners having registered.
Runners will stride on a completely new road, going through many beautiful landscapes in the cities of Ha Long and Cam Pha as well as a tunnel under the mountains in Cam Pha City.
Halong Bay Heritage Marathon has become one of the favourite events of runners from around the world. It aims to attract more visitors to Ha Long and Quang Ninh, thus contributing to the city's tourism development.
In 2019, the race drew more than 3,000 runners, with nearly 1,600 foreigners from 56 countries worldwide, including the US, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, and Singapore.
