International Marathon “Running on Happiness Route” held in Ha Giang

The International Marathon “Running on Happiness Route” took place in Meo Vac District (Ha Giang) on October 9.

This year's tournament attracted the participation of 2,300 athletes, including 2,260 athletes from provinces and cities within the country as well as 40 international athletes.

Professional and amateur runners in Vietnam and abroad participated in the 42km, 21km, 12km, and 6km races.

Participating in the tournament, athletes had the opportunity to experience local popular tourist destinations such as Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, Quan Ba Twin Mountain, and Lung Cu National Flagpole.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Giang Province Tran Duc Quy said that the International Marathon “Running on Happiness Route” is an annual tournament organised by Ha Giang Province.

In addition to responding to the “All people exercise following great Uncle Ho's example” campaign, the tournament also aims to expand cooperation and cultural and sports exchanges with domestic and international provinces.

In particular, the event also contributes to promoting the image of the beauty of people, nature and culture in Ha Giang to promote tourism development.

At the end of the tournament, the organisers presented first, second and third prizes for each category to the athletes.

At the same time, the organising board also honoured units that have accompanied and sponsored the event, contributing to the success of this year's season.
