Ho Chi Minh City concert to feature Vietnamese and Spanish artists

Famous pianist Pablo Galdo from Spain and artists from the symphony orchestra of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music will join a concert entitled “Symphony of Saigon”, which will be held on September 23.

Audiences will have the chance to enjoy the piano sounds of artist Pablo Galdo, as well as famous pieces performed by the symphony orchestra of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, under the conduction of Meritorious Artist Tran Vuong Thach.

Artist Pablo Galdo is known as a musical genius with virtuosic techniques. He is the artistic director of the Galician Classical Music Association and the founder of Vigo's International Folklore Festival. He has also received honorary awards for their common contributions to his global music career.

Meritorious Artist Tran Vuong Thach, who is a former Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra (HBSO), has successfully staged and performed many symphony programmes in Vietnam and abroad.

Meritorious Artist Tran Vuong Thach was awarded the “Knight of Arts and Letters” title by the French Government in 2020.

Formed in 1975, the symphony orchestra of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music has performed at various local and international events.
