Many cafés in Ha Long have evolved beyond mere beverage spots; they are now designed with impressive styles, serving as relaxation hubs for cultural entertainment and appreciation among the youth.
The Toki ceramic café, situated in the Mon Bay urban area on Tran Quoc Nghien Street (opposite the Quang Ninh Museum), is highly praised by café enthusiasts for its distinctive style and novelty.
Le Hoang Minh, the manager of Toki café, shared that the café began operations in July 2024, designed according to the founder's preferences to create a cosy, minimalist, and friendly environment.
The café offers delicious and unique beverages, serving as a space for experiencing art and traditional culture.
The ceramic café model is popular in other Asian countries like China, the Republic of Korea, and Japan but has yet to gain much attention in Vietnam.
In Ha Long City, such cafés are quite rare, making Toki a pioneer that provides fresh experiences for young visitors.
Upon the entrance, guests are greeted by a “teddy bear tower” made from hundreds of cute stuffed bears. The furniture is chosen in a minimalist style to create a warm ambience, making visitors feel comfortable, like they are at home.
Covering over 250 sq.m, the space comprises two floors, including a garden area at the back that enhances the connection with nature.
With an open and airy architecture, the café prioritises wood materials, large glass panels, and abundant greenery inside and outside. This design creates a gentle and relaxing atmosphere for diners.
A notable highlight is the presence of ceramics throughout the café—from the entrance to wooden shelves and decorative lamps in various shapes and sizes.
All ceramic products are 100% “made- in-Vietnam," crafted manually and made-to-order from pottery kilns in Dong Nai and Binh Duong Provinces, known for exporting to demanding markets like Japan, the USA, and Europe.
According to the café’s manager, these ceramic products are coated with unique glazes, which are distinctive in many southern provinces.

ncorporating ceramic elements into the café's decor, along with light interiors and greenery, helps create a serene atmosphere where visitors can feel life slowing down.
Do Vu The Phong, a student from Ha Long High School for the Gifted, noted that while there are many unique cafés in the area, he and his friends prefer stopping by Toki due to its beautiful space, which is perfect for photo shooting.
They can also learn about ceramics or choose charming ceramic vases as affordable gifts for friends or family. The beverages offered are also delicious and varied.
In addition to establishing its unique character, Toki invests significantly in themed decorations during holidays such as the Mid-Autumn Festival, Christmas, and New Year’s. On these occasions, the café also hosts a mini ceramic market, enhancing the exterior and interior appeal for customers.
